Receiving Manager – Plum Market Food Service – Eppley Airfield

About the Role:
The Receiving Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all receiving operations and inventory control functions at Plum Market Food Service – Eppley Airfield. This role ensures all inbound shipments are received accurately, securely, and efficiently in compliance with airport regulations. The Receiving Manager plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, vendor relations, and internal coordination to support smooth and timely service across all food bar locations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the receipt and inspection of all inbound deliveries, verifying invoice and order accuracy.
• Maintain detailed receiving records and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
• Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and other inventory management systems to maintain product freshness.
• Supervise and train receiving associates in safe and efficient handling, stocking, and compliance practices.
• Ensure all deliveries meet airport guidelines for timing, security screening, and documentation.
• Maintain an organized, secure, and clean receiving and storage environment in line with TSA and Plum Market safety standards.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and receiving logs to support operational accuracy.
• Coordinate closely with vendors, delivery teams, and internal departments to manage scheduling and resolve delivery discrepancies.
• Communicate inventory priorities with store leadership to support replenishment and guest service goals.

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse management (retail, grocery, or airport experience preferred).
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and meet operational deadlines.
• Familiarity with airport delivery restrictions, security requirements, and screening processes is a plus.
• Proficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, move product carts, and work in variable temperature conditions.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on collaboration and accountability.
• Must be able to pass an airport background check and qualify for badging.
• Previous experience in a high-volume, regulated environment such as an airport or large retail operation.
• Working knowledge of safety, sanitation, and security protocols in a food service setting.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
