Job Description
The Canalta Group of Companies is a privately held, Canadian-owned company focusing on the manufacturing and service of industrial control and measurement equipment, specifically targeting the gas industry. We proudly supply customers across Canada and internationally. We are currently hiring a Quality Control Inspector at our head office in Red Deer, Alberta. This is an entry-level position, and on-the-job training is provided, perfect for someone looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing and quality.

What Will You Do
- Inspect incoming materials and components to confirm quality and specification requirements
- Perform quality checks and testing such as measurements, thread testing, hardness, vacuum testing, and surface finish verification
- Review technical documents such as drawings, datasheets, tolerances, and material test reports (MTRs)
- Maintain heat number traceability and properly label/mark components
- Complete inspection records and quality documentation
- Identify non-conforming materials, create NCRs, and support corrective action follow-up
- Operate equipment safely (forklift, jib crane, hand tools, grinders) - training provided if needed
- Support shop work including assembly assistance, cleaning/preservation, material handling, and housekeeping
What Do You Need
- Comfortable working in a shop/manufacturing environment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for most of the day
- Class 5 driver's license
- Strong reading, writing and communication skills in English
- Forklift experience is considered an asset (training may be available)
Monday to Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm
Overtime as needed.
