Primary Purpose:
It is the primary responsibility of the Count Team Supervisor to oversee collections of cash, tokens, coins, and tickets from the floor and transport these to the Count Room. It also includes overseeing the drop process for accuracy in count and reporting of cash, tokens, coins, and tickets. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure staff is adequately trained to perform all required count team responsibilities including: counting, sorting, strapping, racking, transporting, and recording of all funds.
- Operate and/or observe the operations of computers and machines used in the processing of all monies, and machines used in the drop process.
- Operate a tow cart for pushing or pulling loaded carts.
- Operate a ten-key calculator and a computer keyboard with a high regard for accuracy.
- Perform the functions of counting, sorting, strapping, racking, transporting, and recording of all funds.
- Place count team supply orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized count room.
- Enter data for Table Games into computerized system.
- Maintain and update policies / procedures pertaining to the count and drop process.
- Provide strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the count team processes within company guidelines.
- Ensure all drops are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain a coordinated drop process.
- Analyze problems to find solutions with staff members in order to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Maintain confidential information.
- Troubleshoot problems and give constructive feedback to management and employees.
- Ensure all Count Team procedures are in compliance with the Minimum Internal Control Standards required by the Gaming Control Board.
- Ensure any unusual circumstances will be researched, documented, and notified to management and/or to surveillance or gaming board when necessary.
- Monitor and minimize overtime according to labor and departmental standards.
- Ensure staff motivation through recognition and engagement.
- Schedule and staff for appropriate business levels.
- Monitor training of new employees to help them achieve higher goals.
- Complete weekly schedules for employees and places them in computerized system.
- Train and coach staff.
- Conduct hiring, disciplinary functions, and terminations for all count team staff.
- Complete all count team staff payroll related functions.
Required for All Jobs
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Education
High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience
- 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Cash and/or coin handling Required
- 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Supervisor experience Preferred
Additional Requirements
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting Preferred
- Bilingual abilities, English as the primary or secondary language Preferred

- Ability to provide excellent service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction.

- Ability to define, diagnose, and resolve problems. This includes seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem’s cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its reoccurrence.

- Ability to train, coach, and develop employees.
- Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities, and obtain and manage resources so that work objectives are accomplished efficiently.
