Marketing and Event Specialist

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Marketing Specialist is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day marketing efforts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position plays a key role in executing events, coordinating across internal teams, and ensuring projects stay organized and on track from start to finish.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. A strong interest in marketing, storytelling, and event execution—along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-paced environment—is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Creation & Management:

  • Develop, curate, and manage a diverse range of content, including short articles, social media updates, video scripts, and more.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, style, and messaging guidelines.

Vendor & Creative Coordination Assistance

  • Help coordinate with creative vendors (photographers, designers, videographers) by managing schedules, gathering assets, and organizing feedback.
  • Support the creative request process, ensuring materials are collected, reviewed, and delivered on time.
  • Maintain organized files and asset libraries for easy team access.

Event Coordination

  • Support event planning and execution, including logistics, timelines, and day-of coordination.
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure deliverables are on track.
  • Maintain organized calendars, event materials, and track basic performance metrics.

Strategy & Development:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy.
  • Focus on engaging investors and other key stakeholders through compelling and informative content.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in content marketing and social media.
  • Research new content formats and marketing tactics to enhance overall strategy effectiveness.

Brand Promotion & Reputation Management:

  • Actively promote the company's brand, values, and initiatives across all social channels.
  • Monitor online conversations and respond promptly to any issues, ensuring positive brand perception.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in content marketing, social media management, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and analytics tools.

Actual base salary considers several factors, including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required.
