Job Description

VP, Marketing

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP, Marketing in United States.

This is a high-impact executive leadership role responsible for defining and executing the marketing vision for a fast-scaling insurance technology organization. The VP of Marketing will shape how the company is positioned across agents, brokers, policyholders, and strategic partners in highly competitive property and casualty markets. This role blends strategic brand leadership with hands-on execution, requiring a builder mindset and the ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. You will work closely with sales, underwriting, and executive leadership to drive distribution growth and strengthen market presence. The position demands deep expertise in insurance marketing, particularly in CAT-exposed regions, along with strong storytelling and analytical capabilities. This is an opportunity to build and scale a modern marketing function that directly influences revenue and market expansion.

Accountabilities:

The VP of Marketing will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy that strengthens brand positioning, accelerates distribution growth, and supports business expansion across key insurance markets.

  • Define and own the overall brand strategy, ensuring consistent positioning across agents, brokers, carriers, and policyholders
  • Develop messaging frameworks that clearly articulate value propositions in CAT-exposed and competitive insurance markets
  • Lead distribution and channel marketing initiatives to expand the agent and broker network across existing and new territories
  • Design and execute targeted campaigns to attract and engage independent agents, surplus lines producers, and brokerage partners
  • Oversee digital marketing strategy, including website, SEO/SEM, email, LinkedIn, and content marketing initiatives
  • Translate market intelligence, underwriting insights, and product complexity into compelling narratives for external audiences
  • Lead event and conference strategy, including industry trade shows and post-event conversion programs
  • Manage marketing team members, vendors, and budgets while ensuring efficient, high-impact execution
Requirements:

This role requires a seasoned marketing executive with deep experience in property and casualty insurance and a proven ability to build brands and drive distribution growth in competitive markets.

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, including 3–5+ years in property & casualty insurance, ideally in CAT-exposed markets
  • Strong understanding of insurance distribution models, including agents, brokers, and wholesale channels
  • Proven ability to lead both B2B and customer-facing marketing strategies
  • Experience building marketing functions, teams, and scalable go-to-market frameworks from the ground up
  • Strong expertise in CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and analytics tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence executive and external stakeholders
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to translate complex technical or underwriting concepts into clear, compelling messaging
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
Benefits:
  • Competitive base compensation with performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Life and AD&D insurance (company-paid) with optional supplemental coverage
  • 401(k) plan with generous company match and no vesting schedule
  • 20 days of PTO annually plus company holidays and additional flexible holidays
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) options
  • Remote-first work environment within eligible U.S. states
  • Professional growth opportunities in a high-growth, innovation-driven organization
