Job Description

AWS Program Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AWS Program Manager in the United States.

This role focuses on leading large-scale enterprise cloud transformation initiatives across complex organizations, driving both migration and modernization programs on Amazon Web Services. The Program Manager will own end-to-end delivery, ensuring strong governance, financial discipline, and alignment across technical and business stakeholders. You will define program strategy, structure execution roadmaps, and establish success metrics tied to business outcomes. The role requires deep experience in cloud adoption, enterprise-scale delivery, and executive-level communication. You will operate in a highly cross-functional environment spanning engineering, architecture, security, and finance teams. This is a high-impact position with visibility at senior leadership level, shaping cloud transformation at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead enterprise-wide AWS cloud transformation programs, including migration and modernization of large application portfolios, ensuring structured execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Define and maintain program roadmap, governance model, RAID tracking (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and delivery success metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive cloud adoption strategies aligned with AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), ensuring architectural and operational readiness across teams.
  • Oversee Agile and DevOps delivery execution, tracking milestones, managing interdependencies, and ensuring predictable delivery outcomes.
  • Manage financial oversight including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization (FinOps), ensuring strong control over program spend.
  • Engage and influence C-level stakeholders, providing executive reporting on progress, risks, performance, and strategic alignment.
  • Coordinate global, cross-functional teams across architecture, engineering, and business units to ensure end-to-end alignment and execution.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience with strong recent exposure to AWS cloud transformation programs, including enterprise-scale initiatives.
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end program delivery (not just project-level execution) in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services, cloud architecture, migration strategies, and modernization approaches.
  • Solid experience in program governance, RAID management, and large-scale risk and dependency frameworks.
  • Demonstrated FinOps capability, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and optimization across large programs.
  • Experience managing distributed, cross-functional global teams and working directly with executive stakeholders (CIO, CTO, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation structure up to 65 USD per hour based on experience and profile fit.
  • Fully remote work flexibility within the United States.
  • Opportunity to lead high-impact enterprise cloud transformation programs at scale.
  • Exposure to executive-level decision-making and strategic cloud initiatives.
  • Work within complex, large-scale environments involving cutting-edge cloud modernization.
  • Strong professional growth in cloud program leadership and enterprise transformation domains.
  • Collaborative and globally distributed work environment.
