The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to business leaders, aligning people strategies with organizational goals. This role provides guidance on workforce planning, talent management, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, and culture initiatives. This role joins at a critical stage of company building and development of the HR infrastructure needed for the growing firm. The successful candidate will bring experience in creativity, innovation and flexibility to support a newly formed function.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Partner with business leaders to identify staffing needs, develop and execute a recruitment strategy
- Manage internal search capabilities versus the need to lean on external search partners to preserve budget, speed to acquisition and overall search effectiveness.
Talent & Performance Management
- Guide managers through goal setting, feedback, performance improvement, and calibration processes.
- Support succession planning and identification of top talent and critical roles.
Employee Relations & Risk Management
- Serve as an advisor on employee relations issues; escalating to CPO in a timely manner.
- Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant handling of performance and conduct matters.
Culture, Engagement & Change Management
- Champion company values and drive initiatives that strengthen engagement and belonging.
- Partner with leaders on action planning following engagement surveys.
HR Program Delivery & Collaboration
- Work closely with CPO and broader HR team to operationalize HR programs, as the function is being built.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, processes, and compliance standards.
- Provide insights from the business to influence People team priorities and program design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience in org design, workforce planning, and talent management
- Advanced technical and analytical skills; proficient in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and HR analytics tools
- Strong relationship‑builder with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Skilled at navigating ambiguity and driving alignment across functions
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments
- Adaptable, fast learner committed to process improvement and operational efficiency
- Experience leading change initiatives and cross‑functional HR projects with measurable outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences
- Proactive, results‑oriented, and consistently takes initiative to support business goals
- High ethical standards with sound judgment and a commitment to an inclusive workplace
