MED TECHNOLOGIST in Tampa, Florida at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center

Performs and reports the results of laboratory tests in the areas of routine hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry and basic blood banking. With additional training, technologists will perform basic referral lab ordering and paperwork.

Performs quality control and quality assurance duties. Participates in the evaluation of new procedures and equipment. Assists in the writing and revising technical procedures. Assists in the training of others. Assists with miscellaneous functions required to maintain the smooth operation of the department such as clerical duties, reagent preparation, and inventory control activities.

The medical technologist exercises broad independent judgment and requires minimal technical supervision to complete assigned tasks.
