The Role
We’re looking for a Manager, Marketing Planning to bridge strategy, execution, and performance—owning how marketing, sales, and territory planning come together to drive measurable growth.
This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who thrives in a data-driven environment, and can translate targets into coordinated action across channels, teams, and communities.
You will play a critical role in ensuring RFNOW consistently meets its growth targets through strong go-to-market planning, funnel management, and continuous optimization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Go-to-Market Planning & Execution
Develop and own quarterly go-to-market (GTM) plans aligned to company growth targets
Translate sales targets into:
Channel-level marketing plans
Promotional strategies
Territory-level execution priorities
Define optimal channel mix (digital, D2D, call centre, community events, partners)
Lead execution of key growth programs, including:
Cross-sell and upsell campaigns
Process improvement initiatives
Onboarding and scaling new partners and vendors
Develop and execute plans to meet sales targets, improve processes, and enhance EBITDA performance
2. Sales Funnel Ownership & Performance Management
Actively manage the end-to-end sales funnel to ensure performance is on track to targets
Partner with data and analytics teams to maintain accurate, up-to-date funnel reporting
Monitor pipeline health, including:
Lead volume
Conversion rates
Channel performance
Identify gaps vs targets and take proactive action to close them
3. Sales & Territory Alignment
Work closely with Territory Manager and Sales Channels to:
Forecast required lead volumes and traffic by channel and region
Work with Channel partners to align sales capacity and staffing with demand generation plans
Support coordinated rollout of campaigns across rural communities
Ensure strong alignment between marketing plans and field execution realities
4. Performance Tracking, Insights & Optimization
Track and report on weekly performance metrics, including:
Conversion rates by channel
Performance by territory
Impact of campaigns and promotional tactics
Analyze variances to target and clearly identify:
Root causes of underperformance
Opportunities to scale what’s working
Recommend and coordinate data-driven actions to improve results across channels. Work with Channel partners to deliver programs to improve sales results.
5. Market & Community Planning
Track and report on market penetration by community
Identify high-opportunity areas to prioritize marketing and sales investment
Support strategic decisions on where and how to deploy resources for maximum growth
6. Executive Reporting & Communication
Support the creation of Executive-level presentations and reporting
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
Provide visibility into performance, risks, and opportunities
What Success Looks Like
Clear, actionable GTM plans tied directly to revenue and EBITDA targets
Strong visibility and control over sales funnel performance
Consistent achievement (or overachievement) of sales targets
Improved conversion rates and channel efficiency
Data-driven decision making embedded across marketing and sales
High-impact programs executed effectively across multiple channels and regions
Qualifications
4-6+ years experience in marketing strategy, revenue operations, sales planning, or demand generation
Strong analytical mindset with experience in funnel management, forecasting, and performance tracking
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations teams
Experience managing or influencing multi-channel go-to-market strategies
Ability to translate data into clear business decisions and execution plans
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Nice to Have
Experience in telecom, ISP, or subscription-based services
Familiarity with rural markets or multi-territory operations
