Annual Salary: $74,000
Duties & Responsibilities
Promotes and advocates improvements to strengthen and improve practices, timeliness, accessibility, quality and effectiveness of services and to increase the support for staff and their participants.
- Actively manages the QA process, establishes a QA plan, implements strategies and interventions resulting in measurable increased performance of services provided by DWD. Responsible for producing monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Review enrollment applications for accuracy and provide constructive feedback to staff on submissions. May be required to review Individual Training Accounts (ITA) as needed.
- Participates in reviews and analyses as a subject matter expert, serving as a resource to all Denver Eckerd staff including Denver Economic Development and Opportunity (DEDO) Continuous Quality Assurance (DEDO CQA) as applicable.
- Promotes and participates in agency-wide continuous quality improvement initiatives, as well as accredidation maintenance as it relates to WFD processes and QA policies.
- Responsible for the review and implementation of DEDO policies, procedures and associated forms as they relate to WIOA and other grants which will be integrated into the QA plan.
- Responsible for the lead role for yearly Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) and City and County of Denver monitoring as required.
- Maintain proficiency in Connecting Colorado to effectively provide technical assistance and training to support, prepare for, coordinate and analyze the results of a minimum of 10% of internal reviews and external monitorings as required.
- Coaches, mentors and develops direct reports; ensuring the department is able to respond to current and future growth and challenges.
- Complete all training requirements as set forth by Eckerd and its contracting, licensing, and accrediting agencies. Participate in training and development activities as required.
- Adheres to the corporate Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics. Ensure adherence to Eckerd’s Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per Eckerd policy and state guidelines.
- Report any acts, incidents, or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate participant-to-participant or staff-to-participant/family relationships, and/or liable situations as per Eckerd policy and state guidelines.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or as judgment and/or necessity dictates.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience working in WFD and the various programs under WIOA and other grants, one year of which must be handling quality assurance/quality improvement. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Possess knowledge of statutes, contract terms and Quality Improvement. Ability to work well with staff and partner agencies. Ability to lead, team build and develop effective presentations. Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with outside agencies. Have administrative abilities and be detail oriented. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must successfully pass a background screening process, including, but not limited to, state, local, and funder criminal background check requirements. Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd Connects’ Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Must have and maintain an appropriate and valid state driver’s license.
- Must be able to sit at desk for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.
