Sr Cloud Engineer in Brunswick, Georgia at Southeast Georgia Health System

• Leads implementation and administration of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune. Configures identity and access management policies through Azure AD, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Oversees configuration, policy management, and operational support of Rubrik for enterprise data backup and disaster recovery, including workload protection in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Ensures high availability and performance of cloud-hosted applications, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution for Microsoft 365 and Rubrik-related issues.
• Develops and maintains automated scripts and tools (e.g., PowerShell) to support cloud infrastructure monitoring, reporting, and configuration.
• Designs and maintains secure and compliant backup policies and retention strategies for Microsoft 365 data, including email, Teams chat, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Implements and supports cloud infrastructure initiatives, including Azure-based virtual networks, compute, and identity integration. Participates in security audits and compliance assessments.
• Completes assigned tasks per defined project scope, timelines, and budgets. Works to prescribed methodologies for all project implementations.
• Maintains documentation in detail for system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures. Ensures system hardware and software are kept at current release and updates.
• Collaborates with application owners, security analysts, and IS leadership to align Microsoft 365 and Rubrik implementations with organizational policies and business continuity goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related area (or 4 years of equivalent experience) required.
• Certification in Nursing Informatics preferred.
• Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience

• 5 years experience in cloud systems engineering with at least 2 specializing in Microsoft 365 and Rubrik or similar enterprise backup platform.

Licensure

• Microsoft Certified: M365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent preferred.
• Rubrik Certified Administrator (RCA) or equivalent enterprise backup certification preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite and Azure Active Directory integration.
• Hands-on experience with Rubrik configuration, backup policies, replication, and recovery.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI) for automation and administration.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and operational support tasks
