This role sits at the core of global infrastructure strategy, leading the design, evolution, and reliability of large-scale data center and network environments that power mission-critical services. You will define and drive the technical vision for carrier-grade networking systems, ensuring performance, security, and scalability across distributed production environments. Acting as both a technical authority and strategic leader, you will influence executive decision-making and align cross-functional teams around long-term network architecture goals. The position requires deep expertise in large-scale networking, coupled with strong leadership skills to guide complex, high-impact initiatives. You will play a key role in shaping global connectivity strategies while ensuring operational excellence and resilience. This is a highly visible leadership role in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the design, planning, and continuous improvement of global data center and production network architectures supporting large-scale SaaS environments.
  • Define network strategy, standards, policies, and long-term architectural roadmaps across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Drive technical decision-making at the executive level and influence prioritization of critical infrastructure initiatives.
  • Oversee network design reviews and ensure alignment with scalability, performance, security, and reliability requirements.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration, resolving conflicts and aligning engineering, product, and infrastructure teams.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in complex network projects while ensuring successful execution within budget and timelines.
  • Communicate project plans, technical direction, and budget estimates to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across network engineering processes, tools, and operational standards.
Requirements

This role requires extensive experience in large-scale network engineering, deep technical expertise in carrier-grade infrastructure, and proven leadership in managing complex, mission-critical environments. Candidates should be strong communicators capable of influencing senior stakeholders and driving strategic technical direction.

  • 15+ years of experience in network engineering, including design and operation of large-scale, customer-facing SaaS data center environments.
  • Expert knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including BGP, OSPF, ECMP, and MPLS.
  • Strong experience with routing, traffic engineering, VPN encryption technologies, firewalls, and security policy implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with modern networking hardware such as Juniper, Arista, and Cisco platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure programs from design through execution.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as Wireshark, NetFlow, and packet capture/diagnostic systems.
  • Deep understanding of network security principles and policy enforcement in distributed environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience influencing senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, risk management, and roadmap planning.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
