Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift (Mon - Thurs/10 Hours) in Auburn, Alabama at Rausch & Pausch

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician. The current schedule is Monday - Thursday, 10 hour shifts (1st Shift - 7:00am - 5:00pm), pending any necessary overtime.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform Repairs and preventative maintenance to resolve and prevent operating issues and maximize equipment availability.
2. Use technical knowledge, equipment documentation, safety procedures and maintenance schedules to follow, improve and develop preventative and routine maintenance programs.
3. Knowledge of and ability to follow machine safety and code guidelines such as NFPA 70, NFPA70e, NFPA79 and able to work safely within a manufacturing environment.
4. Comprehension and ability to understand down-stream effects of repairs and changes.
5. Machines system rebuilds such as pumps, motors, bearings, cylinders, and axes.
6. Machine and machine system routine calibrations
7. PM and repair of facility systems such as chillers and compressors
8. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
9. Responsible for workplace safety and adhere to all plant safety rules.
10. Commissioning and decommissioning machines and equipment.
11. Ability to work overtime as need and required.
12. All other assigned duties.

Qualifications

1. Technical Degree in Industrial Technology or greater preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 year experience in manufacturing and automation preferred.
3. Strong experience with a history of root cause analysis required in electrical troubleshooting, PLC inputs/outputs
4. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
5. Ability to read and understand machine mechanical and assembly prints, dimensions, and callouts
6. Strong experience in the troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial automation and their respective controls systems including but not limited to.
   1. Robots (Both Scara and 6 axis)
   2. VFDs and other motion control systems
   3. Conveyor control systems
   4. 3-phase, single-phase and DC circuits and distribution systems
   5. I/O distribution systems
   6. analog and digital I/O
   7. Basic machine Communication protocols such as Profibus, ethernet I/P, etc
   8. PLC knowledge and ability to interpret PLC logic a plus
   9. Inline Measurement and testing systems
   10. Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
   11. Basic machine sequences
   12. Experience working with Maintenance work order/asset management software systems(CMMS)
7. Think forward, anticipate issues and plan for contingencies.
8. Experience with basic assembly processes such as torque drivers, welders, servo presses, soldering, etc.
9. Effective communication, written and verbal skills
10. Comfortable with MS Office Environment
