Location: Merritt Island, Florida
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Duration: 8 Months (with potential for permanent hire)
Pay Rate: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday (Overtime as needed)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day construction site operations from project start through completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, building codes, and safety requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved.
- Conduct daily site inspections and quality control reviews.
- Lead and participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site audits.
- Monitor workforce productivity and address issues that impact project progress.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, site logs, and project documentation.
- Coordinate inspections with local authorities and project stakeholders.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to identify and resolve field issues.
- Communicate project updates to project managers, clients, and company leadership.
- Ensure proper material management, equipment utilization, and site logistics.
- Identify and proactively mitigate project risks and delays.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience with healthcare, education, municipal, industrial, or government facilities.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
- Previous experience managing projects valued at $5M+.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods.
- Ability to climb ladders, navigate uneven terrain, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
