AESMP Business Analyst - Secret Clearance Required

As a Business Analyst supporting the Army Enterprise Service Management Platform (AESMP), you will help align mission needs, government policies, and IT processes. You'll work with government and contractor stakeholders to document requirements, support AESMP business processes, and coordinate routine technical activities that keep the environment secure, compliant, and available.
You will assist with policy and process implementation, reporting and data needs, and coordination of server health tasks such as security checks, STIG activities, and scheduled maintenance. You'll collaborate with development partners and internal stakeholders to deliver enterprise business solutions that leverage ITIL processes and best practices.

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Meaningful Work and Your Impact
Support AESMP Policies and Government Processes
- Learn and interpret AESMP-related policies, standards, and procedures.
- Translate policy requirements into clear, actionable business processes and tasks.
- Assist in documenting, reviewing, and updating SOPs, workflows, and work instructions.
- Ensure alignment with Army, DoW, and customer requirements.
- Work with government customers and internal stakeholders to gather and clarify business requirements and improvement ideas.
- Help ensure process changes and policy updates are communicated clearly and consistently to affected users and teams.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Map and document current-state and future-state workflows for AESMP services.
- Support requirements elicitation sessions, interviews, and working groups.
- Capture notes, action items, and decisions in a clear, organized format.
- Draft and maintain business requirements, user stories, and use cases under the guidance of senior analysts.
- Assist in validating that delivered solutions and process changes meet documented customer requirements and comply with policy constraints.
Reporting, Data, and Documentation
- Develop and maintain routine status reports, dashboards, and metrics on AESMP service performance and compliance activities.
- Track outstanding actions related to operations, maintenance, and policy adherence.
- Support the creation and maintenance of process guides, training materials, and knowledge articles for technical staff and end users.
- Help ensure data quality and consistency across AESMP-related tools, spreadsheets, and repositories.
Server Health and Technical Coordination
- Coordinate and track routine server health activities (maintenance windows, patching, upgrades) with system administrators and engineers.
- Support documentation and tracking of DISA STIG efforts, RMF control implementation, and other security compliance tasks.
- Help ensure required security and audit evidence is recorded, organized, and accessible.
- Perform basic checks and updates in approved tools to verify environments are current and aligned with maintenance schedules.
- Escalate anomalies or issues to senior technical staff.
- Assist in capturing and documenting technical issues, work orders, and tickets, and support timely follow-up and closure in line with customer and contract requirements.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a point of contact for routine questions on AESMP processes, timelines, and standard procedures.
- Help coordinate meetings, working sessions, and briefings with the government customer and internal teams.
- Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and follow-up actions.
- Contribute to clear, professional communications (emails, brief summaries, and slides) describing upcoming changes, maintenance events, and policy updates.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Education
- AA/AS/BA/BS in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline preferred; or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and experience.
Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience as a business analyst, process analyst, technical coordinator, or similar role supporting IT or government programs.
- Experience in federal, DoW, or Army environments preferred.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM/ITIL) concepts and basic IT operations (tickets, incidents, changes, maintenance windows).
- Exposure to security compliance frameworks (e.g., DISA STIGs, RMF) highly desired.
- Experience documenting processes, requirements, or SOPs, and supporting meetings or working groups.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of servers, environments, and maintenance activities (patching, upgrades, scheduled downtime).
- Ability to track and report on technical tasks, even if not performing hands-on administration.
- Familiarity with security and compliance concepts (system hardening, STIG adherence, audit evidence collection).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint).
- Ability to create clear documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Experience with ticketing or ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow or similar) is a plus.
Certifications
- Must meet DoW 8570.01-M IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) prior to start.
- Must obtain and maintain an ITIL v4 or v5 computing environment certification within 3 months of start.
- When DoW 8140 requirements are implemented on the program, employees must conform to 8140 certification standards.
Security Clearance
- Active SECRET clearance required and must be maintained.

Work Location & Schedule
- Primary work location: Falls Church, VA.
- Standard schedule: Three (3) days onsite and up to two (2) days telework per week.
- Onboarding/transition may require up to 60 days of fully onsite support.
- Work schedules may change based on mission requirements from GDIT or U.S. Government leadership.
