Purpose of the Position

The Production Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, calibrating, and inspecting Kistler products to ensure quality and compliance with established specifications. This role works closely with the Production Supervisor and Production Engineering team to support efficient manufacturing operations.


Main Tasks

  • Assemble and test products in accordance with established work instructions and quality standards.
  • Handle small, precision components using hand tools, soldering equipment, tweezers, and microscopes.
  • Perform precision assembly processes, including soldering, mechanical fastening, and adhesive bonding.
  • Operate manufacturing and testing equipment to support daily production and assembly activities.
  • Conduct visual inspections, functional testing, and calibrations to verify product quality and performance.
  • Set up and operate equipment used to assemble, test, and calibrate transducers, including welders, bead blasters, shakers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Identify and communicate quality issues or equipment concerns to help maintain production standards and efficiency.

  • Ability to follow instructions and stay organized throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working independently and with others in a team environment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with coworkers.
  • Ability to work with small parts and use a microscope for extended periods.
  • Kistler is certified AS9100 and ITAR regulated. You must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
