Job Description

Electrical Integration Supervisor

Safe Air Technology | Baton Rouge, LA
Full-Time | Manufacturing

Position Summary

Safe Air Technology is seeking a hands-on Electrical Integration Supervisor to lead the team responsible for integrating PLC control panels and electrical control components into our custom HVAC equipment.

This is a working supervisor position. The Electrical Integration Supervisor will lead, train, and direct employees while also working alongside the team performing electrical integration, wiring, installation, and troubleshooting.

We are looking for someone with strong industrial electrical and controls experience who can take ownership of the Integration area, keep the team productive, maintain quality standards, and ensure units move through production on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and work alongside the Electrical Integration team.
  • Lead the daily installation and integration of PLC control panels into custom HVAC units.
  • Perform hands-on electrical wiring, terminations, component installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Connect control panels to motors, sensors, switches, field devices, and other electrical components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, and production documentation.
  • Assign daily work and ensure employees understand production priorities and expectations.
  • Monitor productivity, workmanship, quality, and completion of assigned work.
  • Inspect wiring, terminations, labeling, routing, and component installation before units move forward in production.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control-related problems and assist employees with complex issues.
  • Train and develop team members on proper electrical integration methods and quality expectations.
  • Identify material shortages, drawing discrepancies, engineering concerns, or production issues that could impact the schedule.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, QA/QC, and Testing to resolve issues quickly.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and accountable work environment.
  • Help improve processes, workflow, efficiency, and overall performance within the Integration area.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial electrical, controls, electrical integration, or related manufacturing experience.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience working with PLC control panels and industrial control systems.
  • Strong ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with control wiring, electrical terminations, motors, sensors, switches, and field devices.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, OEM manufacturing, automation, or machine building is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to work hands-on alongside the team every day.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to hold employees accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.

What We're Looking For

This is not a desk-only supervisory position.

We need a leader who can run the Integration area and do the work. The right person should be comfortable picking up tools, reading a schematic, wiring and integrating a PLC panel, troubleshooting an electrical issue, and then turning around and helping organize, train, and lead the team.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, sets the pace, develops employees, and makes sure the work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.
