TECHNICIAN - GROUNDS in New Cumberland, West Virginia at Century Casinos Inc

SUMMARY

Responsible for keeping the property properly maintained in a neat, clean, and safe manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Upkeep of the property – Raking of straw/manure, power washing, mowing/weeding, picking up trash/debris, and general maintenance activities
2. Operate company vehicles/equipment including skid steer, trucks, and various maintenance equipment

1. Planting & maintaining flowers, plants, and trees
2. Snow and ice removal
3. Maintain property signs and fences
4. Maintain mowing and landscaping vehicles/equipment
5. Assist other Team Members with duties.

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Trackside Facilities Manager then to the Director of Maintenance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
• The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.

• Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment for the task.
• Ability to recognize/remedy safety concerns and utilize all personal protective equipment as required.
• Time management & priority setting and work independently.
• Troubleshooting & problem solving
• Knowledge of OSHA required standards.
• Life safety equipment and systems
• Knowledge on how to but not limited to the operation of scissor lifts, bucket truck, forklift, ladders, hand/power tools, etc.
• You must be at least 21 years old
• Obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to be covered under Mountaineer Casino Insurance for driving our vehicles.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

REASONING ABILITY

The ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues.

Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
