Palmetto Family Homecare | Dementia Care Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dependable Caregiver, Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist a client living with L.A.T.E. (Limbic-predominant Age-related TDP-43 Encephalopathy), a condition that can cause dementia-like symptoms and affect memory and thinking.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections, encouraging independence, and keeping the client mentally and socially engaged throughout the day.

• Companionship & Supervision: Provide friendly companionship, maintain a safe environment, and offer attentive supervision.
• Mental Stimulation: Engage the client in meaningful conversations, memory games, puzzles, and enjoyable activities to help keep them mentally active and alert.
• Daily Dog Walks: Be comfortable and willing to walk the client's dog daily.
• Meal Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook nutritious meals based on the client's preferences and needs.
• Light Housekeeping: Assist with laundry, tidying up, and maintaining a clean, comfortable living space.
• Daily Engagement: Encourage participation in activities and maintain a positive, supportive atmosphere.

• Compassionate, patient, friendly, and dependable.
• Comfortable working with individuals experiencing dementia or cognitive changes.
• Enjoys conversation and knows how to keep someone engaged and stimulated.
• Willing to assist with cooking, laundry, light housekeeping, and daily dog walks.
• Able to provide attentive supervision while promoting dignity, comfort, and independence.
