Job Summary:

Owns Eagle’s patient safety process and the clinical performance data that supports physician review, client reporting, and recredentialing. Responsible for the clinical event record end to end, including intake, classification, triage, turnaround, closure, and documentation.

Maintains the enterprise clinical policy library and the FPPE and OPPE processes required by clients and the enterprise. Serves as the single intake point for client raised clinical concerns, regardless of which Eagle relationship first receives them.

This role determines whether a clinical event requires escalation. It does not determine physician consequence, which sits with the Enterprise Medical Director and the Chief Medical Officer.

Direct Report Responsibilities:

Provides direct leadership and oversight for the Clinical Data Coordinator, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.

Establishes workflow, documentation standards, and turnaround expectations for the clinical event process.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Own the clinical event log end to end, including intake, classification, severity tiering, triage, turnaround, closure, and documentation

· Conduct initial clinical review and disposition of events, against written criteria for what resolves at this level

· Escalate significant patient safety concerns to the CMO within 24 hours. Escalate concerns below that threshold to the CMO or the Enterprise Medical Director

· Serve as the defined intake channel for client raised clinical concerns, and coordinate the clinical review supporting the client facing response

· Oversee clinical performance and safety data. Work with the Clinical Data Coordinator to collect and analyze physician performance data, including FPPE and OPPE required by clients and the enterprise

· Maintain the accountability framework for clinical policies and procedures. Ensure documents are current, audited for accuracy, and version controlled

· Produce event and performance trending by specialty, site, and provider. Route physician attributable findings to the Enterprise Medical Director and site or program findings to Operations

· Produce the enterprise quality reporting package, including cross-specialty benchmarking data against the standard set by the Enterprise Medical Director

· Administer the Clinical Governance Committee, including agenda, materials, minutes, and follow-up tracking, under the Chief Medical Officer as chair

· Coordinate with Specialty Medical Directors on trends within their service lines, including clinical care, documentation, and professional conduct, for education and correction

· Support physician performance review in collaboration with the CMO and the Enterprise Medical Director. Reviews must be timely, educational, non-punitive in approach, and conducted within applicable peer review protections

· Coordinate with Medical Staff to supply current and historical performance information for recredentialing, and with Operations to inform site placement

· Coordinate with Legal on compliance and risk assessment

· Align clinical safety and performance measures with client requirements and enterprise strategy

· Support the clinical leadership team on patient safety initiatives across the enterprise

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Working knowledge of patient safety event management, including classification, triage, and root cause review

· Direct experience administering FPPE and OPPE

· Knowledge of peer review process and applicable peer review protections

· Clinical policy development, maintenance, and version control

· Data analysis and trend reporting capability, including spreadsheet and reporting tools

· Clear written documentation suitable for client quality review and committee presentation

· Ability to work across clinical, operations, credentialing, and legal functions

Leadership Attributes:

· Owns the process and runs it, not just oversees it

· Sound clinical judgment under time pressure

· Discretion with sensitive clinical and personnel information

· Accountability, follow-through, and attention to detail

· Collaborative across Clinical, Operations, Licensing and Credentialing, and Legal

· High level of professionalism and integrity

Education and Experience:
