Unit Care Specialist in Taos, New Mexico at Holy Cross Medical Center

The Unit Care Specialist position works alongside physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers to deliver safe, efficient and patient-centered care. This role is essential to ensuring the highest level of patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. • No previous experience required.

• High school diploma or High School Equivalency Test (HSE) required.

• Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
• Excellent telephone communication skills with strong customer service ability.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in dealing with a variety of individuals.
• Strong skill set with various computer and telecommunication devices.
• A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of hire.
• Annual hospital-wide competencies and compliance education as assigned.

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic level, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.

• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
