Job Description

Community Outreach Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Community Outreach Specialist based in the United States.

This is a people-focused outreach role centered on building genuine connections with season ticket holders across online communities.
You will identify relevant Facebook groups, Reddit communities, forums, and other digital spaces where potential users are actively engaged.
Your goal will be to introduce prospects to a ticket marketplace app through authentic conversations rather than traditional, scripted promotion.
You will manage follow-ups, nurture interested prospects, and help them take the next step toward listing their tickets.
The role offers significant autonomy, with responsibility for managing your own outreach pipeline and identifying new opportunities.
You will also track activity and results, using community insights to continuously improve outreach strategies.
This part-time contract is well suited to an outgoing communicator with a genuine interest in sports, live events, or the ticket resale ecosystem.

Accountabilities
  • Community Discovery: Identify relevant Facebook groups, Reddit communities, forums, and other online spaces where season ticket holders and prospective users are actively participating.
  • Direct Outreach: Initiate thoughtful, personalized conversations with season ticket holders and introduce them to the ticket marketplace in a natural and helpful way.
  • Relationship Building: Develop genuine relationships within online communities by contributing value, participating authentically, and avoiding spam-driven outreach.
  • Prospect Follow-Up: Follow up with interested individuals, answer questions, and guide prospects through downloading the app and creating their ticket listings.
  • Pipeline Management: Independently organize and manage outreach activity, prospects, conversations, and follow-ups with minimal supervision.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide weekly updates to stakeholders covering outreach volume, responses, conversions, learnings, and overall results.
  • Channel Development: Identify new communities, platforms, and outreach channels that could generate additional opportunities based on observed performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use community feedback and outreach results to refine messaging, targeting, and engagement approaches.
Requirements
  • Communication: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write naturally and conversationally rather than sounding like a corporate or brand account.
  • People Skills: A natural people-person who is comfortable initiating conversations with strangers online and building rapport quickly.
  • Community Experience: Active familiarity with Facebook groups, Reddit, forums, and other online community platforms.
  • Organization: Self-directed and highly organized, with the ability to manage an independent outreach pipeline and consistently follow through on prospects.
  • Outreach Experience: Previous experience in outreach, sales development, community ambassador work, customer engagement, or a related field is a plus.
  • Industry Interest: Genuine enthusiasm for sports, live events, ticketing, or the ticket resale market is strongly preferred.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable experimenting with different communities and approaches, learning from results, and identifying new opportunities independently.
  • Professionalism: Able to represent a consumer-facing product authentically while maintaining respectful and appropriate interactions across online communities.
Benefits
  • Compensation: $25 per hour.
  • Work arrangement: Fully remote within the United States.
  • Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Contract: Independent contractor position with a minimum initial duration of 3 months.
  • Growth opportunity: Potential for continued employment or conversion to a full-time position based on performance and business needs.
  • Autonomy: Significant independence in managing outreach activity, prospect relationships, and community discovery.
  • Impact: Opportunity to directly contribute to user growth for a fast-growing platform serving the live event ticketing market.
  • Learning: Hands-on experience across community outreach, customer acquisition, digital engagement, and marketplace growth.
