Description:

Become a part of our renowned physical therapy department and make a difference in the outcomes for our patients as a rehab assistant. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for supporting the clinical staff of Occupational and Physical Therapists with preparing and cleaning therapy equipment, assisting with therapy session as instructed, escorting patients from waiting room and maintaining equipment per protocols. No nights or weekends.

We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our Physical Therapy team. This is a key role that serves as the first point of contact for our patients and helps keep daily operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Collect and post co-payments accurately
  • Schedule appointments and assist with schedule optimization
  • Obtain, manage, and troubleshoot referrals and insurance authorizations
  • Communicate proactively with clinical staff regarding patient care needs or issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system

  • Previous healthcare experience preferred (PT/OT office experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong phone and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry preferred, experience in an OT or PT office is the best.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Great Phone and people skills.
  • Must be a team player and willing to work together with a tight-knit organization
  • Must possess effective communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with fast-paced physical therapists, medical professionals, patients and their families
  • Must have efficient documentation skills, an attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Must be comfortable with EMR (electronic medical records).
  • Must possess a personable, collaborative attitude, the ability to prioritize many different projects simultaneously.
  • Should value overall health and wellness as well as be able to promote our practice as an orthopedic specialty practice
