Position Summary:
As a Lead Line Cook, you will take a hands-on leadership role in supporting the daily operations of the kitchen and ensuring the preparation of high-quality, consistent dishes for our members and guests. In this role, you will help oversee the line staff, manage food prep, and contribute to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist line cooks in preparing and assembling menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to meet quality and consistency expectations.
- Oversee kitchen stations during service, ensuring readiness, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior kitchen staff; assist in training new team members.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership regarding prep levels, food quality, and line performance.
- Monitor food storage and rotation to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen.
- Uphold all food safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with local health regulations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role; previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand for long periods and work in a high-heat environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and other physical activity related to kitchen duties.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced, and sometimes noisy setting.
