CHOR Youth & Family Services is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care and clinical support to children and adolescents receiving residential and behavioral health services in Reading, Pennsylvania.

You'll work alongside psychiatrists, physicians, behavioral health professionals, therapists, direct care teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team to support the physical, behavioral, and emotional health of the youth we serve.

$500 Sign-On Bonus
Provide compassionate nursing care to children and adolescents receiving residential and behavioral health services.
Complete nursing assessments and monitor physical, behavioral, and emotional health needs.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, changes, and potential health concerns.
Coordinate medical, psychiatric, dental, vision, and specialty healthcare services.
Communicate changes in health status, medication, treatment, and follow-up needs to the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, behavioral health professionals, direct care staff, families, and other members of the treatment team.
Help youth understand their health needs and develop healthy habits and greater awareness of their overall wellness.
Coordinate and follow up on medical appointments, laboratory work, specialty services, and other healthcare needs.
Support medication management, infection prevention, health and safety, and emergency response procedures.
Provide nursing guidance and health education to program staff.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
Participate in treatment planning and contribute the nursing perspective to each youth's overall plan of care.
Advocate for the health, safety, dignity, and well-being of every child and adolescent we serve.
You may be an experienced behavioral health nurse—or you may be an RN ready to take your career in a new direction.
What matters most is your clinical judgment, compassion, ability to connect with young people, and commitment to helping children and families succeed.
QualificationsActive Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Strong nursing assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Commitment to trauma-informed, compassionate, and youth-centered care.
Ability to meet all required background clearances, health requirements, and regulatory standards.
Experience in pediatrics, behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, mental health, residential treatment, adolescent health, community health, or human services is preferred but not required.
