Project Manager - Provider Based Clinics

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager - Provider Based Clinics based in United States.

This role leads strategic and operational projects supporting provider-based clinics and rural health clinic (RHC) performance.
You’ll coordinate initiatives that bring together ambulatory operations, clinical leadership, IT, revenue cycle, and other stakeholders.
The position plays an important role in strengthening operational performance, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
You’ll manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, communications, risks, and stakeholder expectations from initiation through completion.
The role combines project management, healthcare operations, process improvement, and regulatory interpretation in a highly collaborative environment.
You’ll also conduct onsite assessments and help identify opportunities to standardize workflows and improve best practices.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and coordinate multiple projects and special initiatives supporting provider-based operations, sustainability, performance, and strategic organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a central point of contact across ambulatory operations, clinical leadership, information technology, revenue cycle, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project communications, deliverables, deadlines, department initiatives, stakeholder relationships, and overall project coordination.
  • Develop reports, presentations, project updates, and other materials that communicate findings, progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with agreed timelines, targets, expectations, scope, and established operating parameters, negotiating changes when necessary.
  • Respond to project-related requests and proactively investigate and resolve issues raised by department leaders, IT, clinical teams, and support staff.
  • Partner with leadership to identify process improvement opportunities, standardize practices, optimize workflows, and strengthen operational performance.
  • Initiate and implement programs and projects in collaboration with directors, senior leadership, and relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead project review sessions to monitor progress, conduct issue audits, document mitigation activities, and maintain visibility into project plans and outcomes.
  • Interpret and communicate applicable CMS provider-based requirements, including 42 CFR 413.65, and alert leadership to relevant regulatory changes or compliance considerations.
  • Coordinate and conduct onsite gap assessments for provider-based clinics and rural health clinics as needed, documenting findings and identifying improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Education, Finance, or a related field; alternatively, 1-2 years of relevant experience with Medicare provider-based and RHC regulations may be considered.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory operations, revenue cycle functions, and clinical workflows.
  • Knowledge of Medicare provider-based and rural health clinic regulations is highly valuable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to develop professional reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to leadership and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, including the capacity to identify operational challenges and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to manage project scope, timelines, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable responding to shifting priorities and organizational changes.
  • Ability to build productive relationships across clinical, operational, financial, technical, and administrative teams.
  • Willingness and ability to conduct onsite assessments and travel between provider-based clinics and RHC locations when required.
