Job Summary____________________________________________________________________
The Jerry Ensemble Music Director is responsible for auditioning, training, music selection and performance training for the members of the Southern Wisconsin Jerry Ensemble. The music director will work closely with the Broadway Engagement Program Manager on recruitment, rehearsal space reservation and performance dates. In preparation for the annual Jerry Awards Show, the Music Director will assist the Pit Director with music cuts and selecting soloists for group numbers.
Roles & Responsibilities_____________________________________________________________
· Recruit, audition, prepare, and rehearse participants in the Jerry Ensemble.
· Collaborate with the Pit Director to prepare music and performances for the annual Jerry Awards Show.
· Stage & music direct a 30-min KIDS musical with Jerry Ensemble members,
· Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a part-time, variable position expected to work approximately 5hr per week.
The pay for this role is $34.00/hr.

Qualifications____________________________________________________________________
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in music, performance, or similar field.
· At least 3 years coaching and teaching high school students on vocal and/or theatrical performance.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· Proficient skills in teaching high school aged students, providing coaching & feedback.
· Knowledge of musical theater shows and songs.
· Basic piano skills.
· Comfortable planning a season of performances.
· Comfortable working independently on rehearsal and performance planning.
