Residential Care Facility Professional (RCF-P)
Location: Keosauqua, IA
Job Type: Full-time
Reports To: Residential Care Facility (RCF) Supervisor
About the RoleAs a Residential Care Facility Professional (RCF-P), you will deliver person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused care to adults in a residential care setting. You will support clients with daily living activities, hands-on personal care, skill development, crisis de-escalation, and community integration to promote independence, health, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities- Direct Care & Daily Support: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal hygiene care, meal preparation, medication administration, and household housekeeping.
- Skill Building & Recovery: Support clients in developing coping mechanisms, social skills, and independent living capabilities in alignment with their Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP).
- Crisis Support & Safety: Provide trauma-informed de-escalation, emotional regulation support, and non-aversive behavior management while maintaining awake and alert facility safety.
- Community Integration & Transport: Assist clients with community outings, medical appointments, and daily errands, offering transportation as needed.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate daily logs, medication records, incident reports, and cross-shift updates in compliance with HIPAA and facility regulations.
- Comprehensive Training: Paid onboarding, medication administration, and trauma-informed care certification.
- Community Impact: Directly empower adults on their path to recovery, independence, and personal growth.
- Collaborative Culture: Work within a supportive team focused on quality care, mutual respect, and professional development.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in mental/behavioral health, residential services, direct care, or working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Successfully complete all required orientation, competency-based trainings, medication administration training, CPR/First Aid certification, ongoing education, and related requirements within established timeframes.
- Valid driver’s license, personal transportation, telephone access, and proof of personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and agency insurance requirements; must be insurable under the company’s insurance.
- Satisfactory results on criminal, abuse, SING and other required background checks.
- Computer literate with knowledge of database programs and Microsoft Office and related technology platforms.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions.
