In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining a scalable, high-performance search and archive platform while ensuring system reliability and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and maintain distributed systems supporting large-scale search and archival capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and site reliability teams to define and deliver technical solutions
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems, incident response, and long-term reliability improvements
- Implement modern engineering practices including CI/CD pipelines, Agile workflows, and DevOps principles
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while proactively addressing performance bottlenecks and technical debt
- Deploy, manage, and monitor applications in Kubernetes-based environments
- Use observability tools (e.g., logging, metrics, tracing platforms) to ensure system health and performance
- Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Candidates should bring strong software engineering experience with a focus on distributed systems, backend development, and scalable search technologies.
- Approximately 4+ years of experience in software engineering roles
- Strong proficiency in Java or C#, with experience in backend and distributed systems development
- Hands-on experience with search technologies such as Solr, Lucene, or Elasticsearch
- Experience working in cloud-based or private cloud environments
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for application deployment and management
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and modern software development practices
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or AMQ is a plus
- Familiarity with MS SQL and Linux-based systems (including WSL)
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative and proactive mindset
- Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and work effectively in dynamic environments
- Interest in AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering productivity practices
- Competitive salary range (approximately $115,000 – $145,000 annually, based on experience and location)
