Floor Assembly Technician-Mechanic
About the Role:
Vanderlande Logistics is seeking a Floor Assembly Technician to support Airport Logistics. The Floor Assembly Technician - Mechanic plays a critical role in the manufacturing and assembly process by ensuring that floor components and related mechanical systems are accurately and efficiently assembled to meet quality and safety standards. This position requires hands-on expertise in interpreting technical drawings, operating assembly tools, and performing mechanical adjustments to achieve precise fit and function. The technician will collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, contributing to continuous process improvements. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount to maintain a productive and hazard-free work environment. Ultimately, this role supports the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and company standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a related technical field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or vocational training in mechanics or manufacturing technology.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial assembly environment.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards such as ISO.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to use computerized tracking or inventory systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble floor components and mechanical parts according to detailed blueprints and work instructions.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.
- Inspect assembled components for defects or deviations and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to identify and resolve assembly challenges.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety and quality guidelines.
- Document assembly processes and report any issues or improvements to supervisors.
- Participate in continuous training to stay current with new assembly techniques and safety standards.
