JOB SUMMARY
The Patient Flow Expeditor works collaboratively with the Patient Flow Coordinator to manage, prioritize, and deploy resources to promote patient flow efficiencies. This position will use real-time data within Epic to monitor outstanding tasks, tests, consults, etc. that are preventing effective flow through the organization. The Patient Flow Expeditor will effectively communicate with multiple roles across a multidisciplinary healthcare team, creating a proactive culture to combat “bottlenecking” in patient progression through the health system.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Missions of Blessing Health Systems. ICARE standards must be modeled in all interactions. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
- 3-5 years of healthcare experience
- Excellent communication with all clinical and service area departments.
- Strong clinical knowledge
- Proficiency with computer systems.
- Ability to identify and prioritize needs when faced with multiple options.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must utilize critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills in performance of responsibilities.
PREFERRED:
- Hospital experience, with multidisciplinary interaction
- Experience with project implementation, change management, or fast paced clinical execution of tasks
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
