What You'll DoLocation: Hanover, PA
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: First Shift | Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-3:00 PM (Overtime and occasional Saturdays required)
Starting Pay: From $24.00 per hour (Higher pay available based on experience)
We are looking for a skilled fabrication welder with experience working with aluminum and stainless steel. In this role, you'll build custom handrails and miscellaneous metal products by reading fabrication drawings, preparing materials, fitting components, and completing precision TIG welds.
This position is best suited for someone who enjoys detailed fabrication work and can maintain quality while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Fabricate and assemble aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal components used in handrails and miscellaneous metal products.
- Measure, mark, cut, fit, and prepare materials using fabrication drawings and project specifications.
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and fabrication instructions.
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including saws, notchers, grinders, and hand tools.
- Position and align parts using measuring devices, jigs, and fixtures before welding.
- Move raw materials and finished assemblies using forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead lifting equipment when required.
- Maintain production goals while following established quality and safety standards.
- Keep work areas organized and equipment in good working condition
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience performing TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Experience measuring, laying out, and fitting metal components accurately.
- Working knowledge of shop mathematics, including fractions, measurements, and basic geometry.
- Ability to identify and resolve fit-up, layout, and welding issues with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with fabrication equipment and general metalworking tools.
- Ability to work efficiently under changing production schedules and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Dependable with excellent time management skills.
- Flexible and able to adjust to changing workloads.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a production team.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching throughout the workday.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements required for fabrication and welding tasks.
- Close visual attention is required to inspect fit-up, alignment, and weld quality.
