Equipment Setup Technician – 1st Shift in Owasso, Oklahoma at ALLIANCE WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT INC

Alliance Workforce Management is hiring Equipment Setup Technicians to support production operations in a high-volume food processing facility. This role ensures production lines are properly configured, safe, and ready for efficient operation.

The Equipment Setup Technician performs line set-ups, changeovers, adjustments, and first-run verifications to ensure equipment is configured according to product specifications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams.

• Set up and change over processing and packaging equipment based on production schedules.
• Adjust, align, and configure machinery for different product types, weights, and specifications.
• Verify equipment readiness before start-up and support first-run checks with Production and QA.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to set-ups to reduce downtime.
• Ensure all set-ups follow GMPs, HACCP, food safety rules, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Document set-up parameters, issues, and corrective actions.
• Assist with equipment tear-down and reassembly during sanitation cycles.
• Communicate line readiness and set-up status with Production, QA, and Maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement and standardization of set-up processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 1–3 years of equipment set-up or changeover experience in food or meat processing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; basic electrical knowledge preferred.
• Familiarity with conveyors, packaging systems, PLC interfaces, and automated machinery.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in cold or humid environments.

• Experience with automated production lines or packaging systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues quickly.
• Comfort working in fast-paced food manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with standard work and continuous improvement processes.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Saturdays as required
• Work performed in cold, humid, and noisy production areas.
• Exposure to strong odors, varying temperatures, and fast-moving equipment.
• PPE required: hair/beard nets, rubber-soled shoes, smocks, hearing protection, hard hats.

• Ability to crawl, squat, kneel, twist, reach, and perform full-body movements during set-ups.
• Ability to lift 70+ lbs unassisted when handling equipment components.
• Frequent bending, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on wet or slippery concrete floors.
• Precise vision required for inspections, alignment, and identifying electrical color codes.
