Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Product, Commercial based in United States.
This role leads the strategy and evolution of a commercial product platform that enables products and services to move seamlessly from definition to purchase, delivery, consumption, billing, and renewal.
You will own critical capabilities across product catalog, pricing and packaging, CPQ, ordering, provisioning, entitlements, usage, billing, and customer account management.
As a player-coach leader, you will personally tackle complex commercial platform challenges while developing a team responsible for coordinated execution.
The position requires close partnership across Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, Operations, and Business Applications.
You will simplify fragmented workflows, establish scalable platform capabilities, and reduce manual processes and exceptions.
Success will be measured through faster launches, stronger commercial operations, improved customer experiences, and scalable support for evolving business models.
This is a fast-paced, remote leadership opportunity for a product executive who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and strong cross-functional influence.
- Define and own the commercial platform product strategy, multi-year roadmap, priorities, investment recommendations, and success measures.
- Own the end-to-end product model covering offer definition, packaging, pricing, quoting, ordering, provisioning, entitlement, consumption, billing, renewal, upgrades, downgrades, and product retirement.
- Lead complex and ambiguous commercial platform initiatives directly, framing problems, defining requirements, evaluating trade-offs, and driving decisions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and develop Technical Product Managers responsible for squad-level execution, dependency management, delivery readiness, and risk escalation.
- Partner with Engineering and Business Applications to establish appropriate architecture and implementation boundaries and ensure durable platform capabilities rather than isolated solutions.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, Operations, and Product leadership to create scalable commercial policies and workflows that balance customer experience, growth, control, and operational efficiency.
- Establish scalable product catalog, SKU, pricing, packaging, and entitlement models supporting transactional, subscription, usage-based, enterprise, and partner or channel business models.
- Simplify and standardize CPQ, order management, billing, provisioning, entitlement, and consumption workflows while identifying and eliminating unnecessary manual processes and exceptions.
- Define platform contracts, guardrails, and self-service capabilities that enable other Product teams to launch and evolve offerings without rebuilding commercial infrastructure.
- Establish operating mechanisms for planning, roadmap communication, intake, prioritization, dependency management, release readiness, and escalation.
- Use operational data and metrics to identify friction, failure points, cost-to-serve, revenue leakage, adoption barriers, and opportunities to improve commercial velocity and customer experience.
- Serve as the senior Product voice for the Commercial Platform, communicating complex trade-offs clearly and building alignment across teams with different priorities.
- Establish clear ownership, decision rights, and accountability across the commercial platform ecosystem while maintaining responsibility for overall business outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Management, Strategy, Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, platform product management, commercial systems, monetization, or related leadership roles, including experience leading people or teams.
- Demonstrated experience owning complex B2B SaaS commercial capabilities, including Salesforce integrations, product catalogs, pricing and packaging, CPQ, quote-to-cash or order-to-cash processes, permissions, billing, subscriptions, or usage and metering.
- Proven ability to operate as a hands-on product leader who can move between executive-level strategy and detailed workflows, requirements, data, and system-level problem solving.
- Experience leading and developing product, program, or technical product professionals while establishing accountability across multiple delivery teams.
- Strong commercial and product judgment, with the ability to connect customer experience, business models, technology capabilities, operational constraints, and financial outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions across Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Business Applications, Legal, and Operations without relying solely on direct authority.
- Experience with subscription billing platforms, product catalog services, entitlement systems, or related commercial technologies is preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple monetization models, including transactional, subscription, usage-based, enterprise contract, and partner or channel models, is preferred.
- Experience modernizing fragmented or highly manual commercial systems and processes into reusable platform capabilities is preferred.
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex commercial and technical trade-offs for diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated innovation leadership, relationship-building, organizational influence, impactful communication, analytical problem-solving, and enterprise-level strategic thinking.
- Ability to lead effectively through ambiguity, organizational change, and evolving business priorities.
Benefits:
- Full-time, fully remote position.
- Annual salary range of $179,100–$227,200.
- Eligibility for bonus compensation.

- Parental leave.
