Job Description

ResponsiveAds Senior Ad Tech & Integration Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a ResponsiveAds Senior Ad Tech & Integration Engineer based in Canada.

This is a highly technical and customer-facing role focused on bridging creative advertising technology with the broader digital advertising ecosystem. You will lead integrations with publishers, DSPs, SSPs, and channel partners, ensuring seamless deployment and delivery of ad creatives at scale. Acting as a key technical expert, you will troubleshoot complex trafficking and tagging challenges while helping partners onboard and launch campaigns successfully. The position combines ad operations expertise, solutions engineering, and hands-on development work to improve platform adoption and performance. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, sales, and external partner teams to expand integration capabilities and support emerging advertising standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and wants to influence the future of digital advertising technology. Working within a fully remote organization, you will have significant ownership and visibility across strategic initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the technical onboarding process for new publisher, DSP, SSP, and channel partners, guiding integrations from initial review through successful campaign deployment.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for ad operations teams, troubleshooting trafficking, delivery, tagging, and integration-related issues.
  • Provide first- and second-line technical support, managing escalations and documenting resolutions to improve partner success.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize integration documentation, onboarding guides, implementation resources, and self-service materials.
  • Validate, test, and certify advertising tags, formats, and creative assets across major programmatic advertising environments.
  • Collaborate directly with partner engineering teams to support integration standards, certification processes, and interoperability initiatives.
  • Identify recurring technical issues and translate them into product improvements, feature requests, or engineering enhancements.
  • Support technical sales discussions, partner evaluations, and RFP responses involving complex ad serving and trafficking requirements.
  • Contribute to the expansion of advanced advertising workflows and integration capabilities across direct and programmatic channels.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in ad operations, solutions engineering, ad technology, programmatic advertising, or related technical roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript, CSS, and web-based development technologies.
  • Deep understanding of DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, macros, tag management systems, and programmatic advertising infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with HTML5 creative formats, rich media advertising, responsive ad technologies, and industry-standard ad specifications.
  • Proficiency troubleshooting advertising implementations using browser developer tools, network inspection, console debugging, and tag validation utilities.
  • Experience working with VAST, VPAID, tracking pixels, and digital advertising measurement frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with privacy and consent frameworks, including TCF/GVL, is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of CTV, DOOH, or emerging digital advertising channels is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable taking ownership of issues from identification through resolution.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work environment with over a decade of successful distributed operations.
  • Flexible working hours and generous work-from-home policies.
  • Strong commitment to work-life balance and employee wellbeing.
  • Generous paid time off and vacation flexibility.
  • Continuous learning support, including educational courses and professional development opportunities.
  • Merit-based compensation reviews and growth opportunities.
  • Paid parental and family leave support during major life events.
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact within a profitable and innovative organization.
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture with high levels of autonomy and ownership.
