Position Summary
As the Director of Sales - Government Programs for APAC, you serve as the strategic lead and regional intelligence hub for Jet Aviation's Government Programs business. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales & Business Development APAC, you are responsible for ensuring Jet Aviation is proactively positioned across all relevant government and military tender opportunities within the region.
You will build, maintain, and activate a high-level network of government stakeholders, industry partners, consultants, intermediaries, and key influencers to shape the competitive landscape in Jet Aviation's favour-both at policy and operational levels.
Your influence will be instrumental in identifying early-stage opportunities, shaping tender requirements, and ensuring Jet Aviation is optimally positioned ahead of formal Request for Tender (RFT) processes. Upon RFT release, you will transition the opportunity to the tender team while remaining a trusted advisor and key relationship owner throughout the bid lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, track, and assess government and military tender opportunities across APAC, aligned to Jet Aviation's strategic priorities and target markets.
- Develop and leverage a robust regional network across government bodies, defence agencies, industry partners, consultants, intermediaries, and key decision-makers to secure early visibility of opportunities.
- Influence tender development at both strategic (policy) and operational (project) levels to ensure alignment with Jet Aviation capabilities and competitive positioning.
- Represent Jet Aviation with professionalism, discretion, and credibility in engagements with senior government, defence, and industry stakeholders.
- Act as a brand ambassador at industry forums, conferences, and speaking engagements to enhance Jet Aviation's visibility and thought leadership within the government and defence sectors.
- Partner closely with Marketing to strengthen Jet Aviation's positioning, reputation, and market presence across APAC.
- Contribute to regional government programs strategy in collaboration with Business Development, the VP Sales & Business Development, and the VP Government Programs.
- Develop and maintain structured tender capture plans, opportunity pipelines, and annual engagement strategies to ensure disciplined and proactive market coverage.
- Manage and oversee government program intermediaries, including performance monitoring, compliance, reporting, and contractual obligations.
- Identify, assess, and onboard new intermediaries where required, ensuring alignment with Jet Aviation standards, governance, and strategic objectives.
- Provide timely and actionable market intelligence to support bid/no-bid decisions and contribute to the development of competitive tender strategies.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless handover and continuity across all active tender opportunities.
- Maintain deep and current knowledge of government procurement frameworks, industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments across APAC.
- Ensure full compliance with Jet Aviation and General Dynamics codes of conduct, maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct.
- Deliver regular reporting on pipeline development, stakeholder engagement, intermediary performance, and market insights.
- Proactively identify and mitigate compliance and reputational risks associated with government programs and third-party relationships.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity and engagement records within Salesforce to ensure transparency and data integrity.

- Number and quality of tender opportunities identified and brought into the pipeline

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Government Relations, International Relations, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum 10 years' experience in government relations, business development, commercial leadership, legal advisory, or aviation/defence sectors
- Proven track record of success within government and military tender environments
- Established and active network across government and defence stakeholders in APAC
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; additional APAC language skills are advantageous
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and executive stakeholder engagement capabilities
- High level of personal integrity, discretion, and professionalism
- Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking abilities
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the APAC region
