Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for leading daily production operations to meet goals set for safety,

quality, productivity, cost, and continuous improvement. Being a front-line leader in the organization,

this position is accountable for hiring, training, and coaching employees to support alignment to our

Making a Lasting Difference culture as well as business objectives. Collaboration throughout the

various disciplines across the facility is crucial to success in this position. Candidates must have the

ability to solve problems and drive team performance.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supervise employees in, but not limited to, the Finishing and Shell departments.

· Ensure set practices are followed, and quality requirements are met.

· Investigate problems to ensure proper corrective action is implemented to reduce or eliminate non-

conforming parts and production interruptions.

· Manage inventories of supplies, materials, and tools.

· Employee timekeeping.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 3+ years Supervisory experience preferred.

· An undergraduate degree, or a four-year technical degree is preferred, or the equivalent in related

experience plus coursework.

· Self-starter, ability to plan and direct activities, multitask, and adapt to frequent priority changes.

· Strong interpersonal skills, capable of communicating at all levels of organization.

· Experience training/coaching employees to produce high quality results.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Strong mechanical aptitude.

· Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S programs.

· Basic computer skills.
