Job Description

Description: Position Summary

We are seeking a Manager, Conference & Industry Engagement to join our Gifthealth Marketing team. This is a pivotal commercial marketing role responsible for placing Gifthealth in the rooms that matter. The Manager will own the end-to-end conference program, forge and nurture strategic relationships with professional and clinical associations, and build the omnichannel media strategy that amplifies our presence before, during, and after every industry touchpoint. This position plays a key role in ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and commercial growth.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact position for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, is deeply connected to the specialty pharmacy landscape, and knows how to turn a trade show booth or association relationship into a business development engine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conference Strategy and Execution: Own the annual conference roadmap by identifying, prioritizing, and planning participation in national and regional industry conferences across specialty pharmacy, rare disease, pharmaceutical manufacturer, and prescriber audiences. Develop positioning, messaging, and activation plans for each event, including enhanced opportunities such as product theatres, panel discussions, and sponsored dinners. Lead cross-functional execution across Marketing, Sales Operations, and Client Success, coordinating logistics, staffing, pre-show outreach, on-site programming, and post-show follow-up. Track conference-level KPIs (meetings booked, pipeline influenced, brand sentiment) and deliver post-event reporting with actionable recommendations.
  • Association and Partnership Strategy: Build and manage a strategic association portfolio by identifying and prioritizing membership, sponsorship, and thought leadership opportunities with professional associations and clinical organizations relevant to manufacturer, prescriber, and payer audiences. Serve as primary point of contact for key association partners and develop multi-year engagement plans that go beyond logo placement to include advisory board participation, speaking opportunities, and co-created content. Activate clinical and advocacy networks in partnership with patient advocacy groups and clinical societies. Connect association engagement to measurable pipeline and market access outcomes and report on partnership ROI to senior leadership.
  • Omnichannel Media Planning: Develop integrated media plans that support conference and association programs, including digital, print, email, social, and programmatic channels targeted to HCPs and manufacturer decision-makers. Brief, evaluate, and oversee media partners and publications relevant to the specialty pharmacy and hub-services space. Plan pre-conference awareness, on-site amplification, and post-event nurture sequences that extend the shelf life of every industry touchpoint. Track engagement, reach, and conversion metrics across channels and use insights to sharpen future media investments and improve audience targeting.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, healthcare marketing, or industry engagement with direct ownership of conference or event programs; demonstrated experience managing association or partnership relationships within healthcare, life sciences, or specialty pharmacy.
  • Skills (Required): Working knowledge of omnichannel media planning including digital, programmatic, and HCP-targeted point-of-care media; strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs, vendors, and timelines; excellent communicator and relationship builder comfortable representing Gifthealth in front of senior external stakeholders; proficiency with CRM, marketing automation, and project management platforms.
  • Skills (Preferred): Experience in specialty pharmacy, manufacturer services, or hub services marketing; existing relationships within relevant associations (e.g., APhA, ASCO, AGA, AACE, PhRMA); familiarity with HCP and life sciences media publishers and programmatic platforms; experience with account-based marketing (ABM) strategies applied in conference or event contexts.
Desired Attributes
  • Knows the specialty pharmacy and life sciences conference landscape deeply and shows up as a credible Gifthealth presence in every room.
  • Builds relationships that outlast a single event and converts them into pipeline, partnerships, and commercial outcomes.
  • Brings both strategic thinking and logistical precision — equally comfortable developing a multi-year association engagement plan and executing a flawless booth setup.
  • Uses data to make investment decisions and communicates program ROI to leadership with clarity and confidence.
  • Aligned with Gifthealth’s mission and able to articulate our platform story compellingly to manufacturer, prescriber, and payer audiences.
Work Environment
  • Location: Remote / Hybrid.
  • Schedule: Full-time. Requires regular travel to industry conferences, association events, and key partner meetings throughout the year.
  • Regular collaboration with Marketing, Sales Operations, Client Success, and senior leadership. Frequent external engagement with association partners, media vendors, and event organizers.
Key Essential Functions
  • Must be able to perform sedentary office and remote work for extended periods, including sustained use of a computer and communication platforms.
  • Must be able to travel to conferences, association events, and partner meetings, including overnight and multi-day travel.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and senior external partners.
  • Must be able to manage multiple concurrent programs, vendor relationships, and deadlines simultaneously.
