Job Title: Part-Time Non-CDL Operator

Reports To: Transportation Manager
Budgeted Hours: Up to 28 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on operational needs. Variable schedule. May include mornings, afternoons, evenings, split shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime when authorized.
POSITION SUMMARYThe Part-Time Non-CDL Operator provides safe, reliable, and courteous public transportation services throughout the Gulf Coast Transit District service area. Operators are responsible for safely transporting passengers while maintaining compliance with GCTD policies, state and federal regulations, and all safety requirements. Operators are expected to provide exceptional customer service and represent GCTD professionally at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis is a part-time position working up to 29 hours per week. Work schedules are based upon operational needs and may include:
Hours are not guaranteed and may vary depending on staffing levels and service demands.
WORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed primarily in transit vehicles while operating throughout Brazoria and Galveston Counties. Employees may also perform limited office duties or attend training at various GCTD facilities.
The position requires working in varying weather conditions, traffic, construction zones, and areas with high passenger activity.
