Job Description
Are you passionate about precision engineering and solving complex design challenges? We're looking for an experienced Mold Designer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you'll design high-quality injection molds that support the production of innovative plastic components across a variety of industries.

Requirements:- Design plastic injection molds using 3D CAD software.
- Develop detailed mold assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
- Design mold components including cores, cavities, slides, lifters, cooling systems, runners, and ejection systems.
- Review customer part designs and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering, tooling, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the mold build process.
- Support mold trials, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement engineering changes and maintain accurate design documentation.
- Ensure mold designs meet customer requirements, company standards, and production objectives.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, Tool Design, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of injection mold design experience.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong understanding of plastic injection molding processes.
- Knowledge of mold construction, cooling systems, gating, ejection, and tooling components.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience
- Experience in automotive, medical device, or high-volume manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Moldflow or similar simulation software.
- Experience designing hot runner systems.
- Knowledge of automation and robotic part handling.
