Job Description
Job Summary
The Robotics Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining robotic equipment to produce high-quality products. This role ensures production efficiency, product quality, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate robotic welding systems and related equipment
- Load and unload parts into robotic welding fixtures
- Monitor welding processes to ensure consistent quality and performance
- Perform basic programming adjustments and teach points as needed
- Inspect completed welds using measuring tools, gauges, and visual checks
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or programming issues
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of robotic welding equipment
- Maintain production and quality records accurately
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on process improvements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in robotic welding or manufacturing preferred
- Basic understanding of welding processes (MIG, TIG, or spot welding)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Familiarity with robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Motoman) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and quality control

- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer and programming skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and fumes (with proper PPE)
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production facility
- 1st shift 6:00-2:30
- Requires adherence to strict safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification in welding or robotics
- Experience with robotic programming or PLC basics
- Previous experience in automotive or heavy manufacturing industries
