The Role
As the first point of contact for drivers coming on and off site, you will play a key role in keeping loads moving accurately and records clean. This position suits someone who takes pride in accurate work, enjoys working with people, and can stay organized in a busy industrial environment.
What You'll Do
- Weigh inbound and outbound trucks and accurately record gross, tare, and net weights
- Issue, verify, and file weigh tickets and related load documentation
- Capture load details (product, customer, hauler, ticket numbers) completely and correctly
- Enter data into scale and tracking systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Greet and assist truck drivers in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner
- Communicate clearly with drivers, dispatch, and site operations throughout each shift
- Keep accurate logs and daily records
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized scale house and office area
What You Bring
- A friendly, respectful attitude toward drivers and coworkers
- Must have a drivers License and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork and data entry
- Dependability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic
- Comfort working a 7 on, 7 off rotation
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- The ability to work independently and stay organized
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous scale house, dispatch, shipping and receiving, or industrial site experience (an asset, not required, we will train the right person)
