Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)

Full Time

East Arkansas Family Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women's Health Center in West Memphis, Arkansas. Our Women's Health Center provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for women through every stage of life, including preventive care, gynecological services, prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, and women's wellness services.

The LPN or RN will work closely with providers and other members of the care team to support women's healthcare needs by providing direct patient care, patient education, clinical support, and assistance with examinations and procedures. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of women in our community while working in a specialized outpatient women's health setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare patient to be seen by physician, assist in necessary procedures; prepare and administer solutions and medications upon order of physicians.
  • Assist with exams and special procedures; irrigate, clean and dress wounds.
  • Follow standing orders to initiate and schedule routine and preventative screenings.
  • Participate in monthly clinical staff meeting and quality improvement practices as well as participate in daily team huddles and communicate concerns or necessary information to the care team.
  • Document patient information in EMR based on Patient Care: General Procedure’s guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Current, unrestricted Arkansas Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain one.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Ability to provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Experience in primary care, family practice, community health, or outpatient clinical settings preferred but not required.
  • Experience in women's health, OB/GYN, prenatal care, family practice, community health, or outpatient clinical settings preferred but not required.
  • Experience assisting with gynecological exams, prenatal visits, and women's health education is a plus.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday
• Occasional Saturday coverage may be required from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Saturday shifts are scheduled in advance and shared among clinical staff as needed
