Job Description
Position: Facilities Supervisor

Position Summary: The Facilities Supervisor oversees the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the company’s facilities, grounds, and building systems. While ensuring facilities support the needs of employees, visitors, and business operations, the Supervisor ensures compliance with applicable company, quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Essential Functions:- Lead the maintenance, repair, and reliable operation of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems.
- Oversee the maintenance of grounds and outdoor spaces to ensure they remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
- Support development of the facilities budget, monitor expenditures, and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
- Select and coordinate external contractors and vendors, and hold them accountable for meeting established scope, schedule, quality, and budget requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through Lean principles, process improvement initiatives, adaptability to new technologies, and support of organizational change.
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop, implement, and maintain facility emergency response and preparedness plans, including drills and training.
- Ensure facility operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including permitting, commercial land use, waste management, environmental practices, and logistics.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, risks, and corrective actions.
- Lead maintenance personnel, including workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, technical training, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
- Communicate and consistently enforce company policies, work rules, procedures, and performance expectations.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient fabrication environment by ensuring equipment safety, regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance, and effective housekeeping practices.
- Advanced maintenance knowledge of facility, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing, CNC, servo, and control systems, including troubleshooting, repair, machining, welding, and mechanical assembly.
- Project management, budgeting, capital planning, vendor management, purchasing coordination, and maintenance record administration.
- Technical proficiency in PLC programming, ladder logic, electrical theory, control circuits, schematics, commercial wiring, AC motors, equipment calibration, and computer systems.
- Strong independent decision-making, problem-solving, communication, emergency response, and multi-facility coordination skills, with the flexibility to provide on-call support as needed.
- Working knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, permitting, and quality requirements.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a professional, approachable, and service-oriented manner when working with internal and external customers.

- While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other routine office and manufacturing equipment.
- The position requires sufficient physical mobility to inspect and interact with capital equipment and manufacturing processes, including the ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and work in various positions as needed.
- The position requires the ability to navigate the manufacturing environment safely, including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to visually inspect equipment, components, and work areas, as well as perform computer-based tasks.
- Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and other protective equipment as required by the work environment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate levels of noise, vibration, odors, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to follow all applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements, including established safety procedures, PPE requirements, and emergency response protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to operate tow motors, cranes, pallet jacks, and related equipment as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and BoMs.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.
- Associate’s degree in mechanical and/or electrical field, preferred.
- Seven or more years of related maintenance experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Significant experience in the skilled trades, emergency preparedness, US military, or similar field, desirable.
- Certified or able to become certified in First Aid/CPR, preferred.
- Required to carry a cellphone and remain available for contact or call-in, in the event of equipment failures or other emergencies.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
