Shift Lead — Crumbl Cookies | Tyler, TX

Estimated Pay: $14.19–$15.49/hour, including tips

Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available!

Hiring for all shifts! Open availability preferred, but not required.

Join the Crumbl Tyler Leadership Team!

Crumbl Cookies in Tyler is hiring dependable, motivated, and hands-on Shift Leads who can lead a team, maintain high operational standards, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

We operate a fast-paced, high-volume bakery where attention to detail, teamwork, urgency, and adaptability are essential. Our menu changes weekly, so strong leadership, communication, organization, and the ability to adjust quickly are critical.

This is an active, hands-on leadership position — not a supervisory role where you simply delegate tasks. Shift Leads are expected to lead from the floor, work alongside their team, solve problems, and take ownership of the success of their assigned shifts.

We're looking for leaders who notice what needs to be done, take initiative, hold team members accountable, and consistently set the example.

Compensation & Tips

Estimated total hourly earnings: $14.19–$15.49/hour, including tips

  • Hourly compensation includes base pay plus pooled tips

  • Wage increases and advancement opportunities may be available based on performance, experience, and responsibilities

  • Tips are pooled and distributed among eligible team members

Important: Advertised hourly earnings include estimated tips and are not guaranteed. Tips fluctuate based on sales volume, customer tipping, hours worked, and other factors. Actual total hourly compensation may vary.

Shift Lead Responsibilities

Shift Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead assigned shifts and oversee day-to-day bakery operations

  • Assign employee stations, tasks, breaks, production priorities, and cleaning responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate staffing and labor efficiency throughout assigned shifts

  • Ensure employees remain productive and complete assigned responsibilities

  • Handle routine operational challenges and make timely decisions to keep the shift running smoothly

  • Communicate shift updates, operational concerns, and important information to management and incoming leadership

Cookie Production & Quality Control

  • Work hands-on in all bakery stations, including mixing, balling, baking, decorating, packaging, and customer service

  • Read, understand, and accurately execute recipes and weekly menu changes

  • Monitor production levels and adjust priorities based on sales volume and product demand

  • Ensure cookies meet Crumbl standards for appearance, size, quality, and presentation

  • Complete regular quality checks and address issues immediately

  • Resolve routine customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary

  • Ensure orders are prepared accurately, packaged correctly, and completed on time

  • Encourage team members to make appropriate product recommendations and support store sales goals

  • Operate the POS system and accurately handle, count, and balance cash drawers

  • Follow cash-handling, payment security, and loss-prevention procedures

  • Complete opening and closing duties accurately and on time

  • Complete assigned shift checklists, production records, cleaning logs, and operational reports

  • Review timekeeping records and communicate discrepancies to management when assigned

  • Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient or supply shortages promptly

  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and guest-ready bakery throughout the shift

  • Ensure cleaning and sanitation tasks are completed consistently, not just at closing

Shift Lead Requirements

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or shift-management experience preferred
