Job Description
Position Summary:
THIS POSITION DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR RELOCATION OR VISA SUPPORT
The Quality Engineer is responsible for all facets of production quality. The function of this position is to ensure that the production process developed in the APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) stage is implemented on the shop floor. Assist in problem solving activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in quality planning on each new job to the extent necessary. Develop a thorough understanding of the part and its manufacturing process.
Manage gauge ordering, design and overall implementation for assigned project(s)
Create/Update as necessary the PFMEA and Control plan for assigned projects(s)
Ensure compliance to measurement and calibration standards.
Conduct control plan or other audits to ensure that the production process in implemented as intended and properly documented.
Maintains open communication with customers through plant visits. Proactively address customer concerns.
Supports the Quality Inspector and provides direction as required.
Lead cross-functional teams through issue resolution using the corrective action process for assigned project(s)
Cradle to Grave Quality Engineering function for assigned project(s)
Performs job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures, to ensure the preservation of the Company Quality Policy and compliance to currently recognized industry standard QMS and EMS.

Preferred Education and Skills:
4 Year – bachelor’s degree in engineering
3-5 years of broad technical experience, of which at least three years should be in quality administration and/or quality engineering.
Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to adapt in short notice.
