This is a high-impact opportunity for a finance professional to help shape financial strategy within a rapidly growing technology and AI-focused environment. In this role, you will own critical FP&A processes, develop advanced financial models, and provide insights that guide executive decision-making. You will work closely with operational leaders, accounting teams, and senior executives to translate complex data into actionable business strategies. The position combines hands-on financial ownership with strategic influence, offering the opportunity to build scalable processes and strengthen financial infrastructure. Ideal for a proactive finance leader, this role requires strong analytical skills, business judgment, and the ability to communicate financial narratives that drive growth.

Accountabilities
  • Own and continuously improve financial planning and analysis processes, including forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated driver-based financial models that support executive decision-making, strategic planning, and business performance analysis.
  • Partner with operational and business leaders to translate key performance indicators into financial insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Lead monthly financial close collaboration with accounting teams, including variance analysis, revenue reconciliation, and management reporting.
  • Prepare executive, investor, and board-level financial materials with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and strategic relevance.
  • Support corporate development activities, including valuation analysis, due diligence processes, and financial modeling for potential transactions.
  • Analyze service-based business economics, including utilization, project margins, revenue timing, and headcount-driven financial performance.
  • Drive automation, standardization, and scalability across FP&A processes to improve efficiency and reporting quality.
  • Mentor finance team members and contribute to the continued development and maturity of the FP&A function.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA, CPA, or CFA designation is considered an asset.
  • 6+ years of progressive FP&A experience, or 8+ years for Senior Manager level, ideally within a public company, technology, SaaS, professional services, or high-growth environment.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with financial planning tools such as Adaptive, Pigment, Anaplan, or similar platforms, along with BI and reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition principles, and public company financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience analyzing pricing, margins, business performance, and operational economics.
  • Demonstrated ability to own processes end to end, combining attention to detail with strategic thinking.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly to executives and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting M&A, corporate development, private equity-backed organizations, or high-growth companies is highly valued.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to build, improve, and scale financial processes in a dynamic environment.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of CAD $190,000–$225,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Potential equity opportunity as part of the total compensation package.
  • Fully remote work environment within Canada.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in scaling financial operations within a fast-growing technology organization.
  • Exposure to executive leadership and strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborative environment focused on innovation, operational excellence, and long-term growth.
