About the role:
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing Stickle steam systems and providing technical support to customers throughout the project lifecycle, including system design, troubleshooting, installation, and startup.
Responsibilities- Develop technical specifications, system designs, and CAD drawings for customer projects.
- Provide engineering support for customer inquiries, installations, troubleshooting, and system startups.
- Apply mechanical engineering knowledge across system design, drafting, programming, troubleshooting, and customer support.
- Evaluate projects from a big-picture perspective, considering system requirements, customer needs, and business objectives.
- Conduct customer site reviews, system audits, and evaluations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and internal teams to support successful project execution.
- Independently identify challenges, develop solutions, and drive projects forward with ownership and accountability.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to customers, internal teams, and leadership.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Travel up to 75% or more, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or other 2D design software required.
- Experience with pneumatic systems and valves/controls required.
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley preferred.
- Versatile mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to contribute across multiple areas rather than a single specialty.
- Ability to understand broader system design, project objectives, and customer needs beyond individual drafting or programming tasks.
- Comfortable taking on diverse responsibilities and adapting to changing priorities
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, a desire to learn, and a commitment to continuous growth and improvement.
