About the Role:
The Warehouse Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of warehouse activities to support overall supply chain operations. This position focuses on optimizing inventory control processes, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational productivity. The specialist will be responsible for coordinating daily warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. By leveraging expertise in forklift operation and inventory management systems, the role contributes to minimizing errors and reducing operational costs. Ultimately, the Warehouse Operations Specialist ensures that warehouse operations run smoothly, supporting timely delivery and customer satisfaction across the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or inventory control.
- Valid forklift operator certification with demonstrated safe operation skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS) and SAP (ERP) systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in supply chain management, logistics, or related field.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Previous experience working in a large-scale distribution center.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping of products.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and reduce discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move materials within the facility.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as logistics, procurement, and quality assurance to support supply chain objectives.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions and prepare reports for management review.
