R&D – PCB Layout Engineer
Job Description
R&D - PCB Layout Engineer is responsible to,
- Design PCB layouts as per automotive and company standards/guidelines
- Create and manage component, symbols, and footprint libraries.
- Create PCB data package for PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Check the DFM, DFT, DFA constraints to ensure zero error.
- Collaborate with hardware/mechatronics engineers to understand/clarify requirements.
- Optimize layout to reduce cost.
- Participate in technical design reviews (schematic and Layout)
- Review PCB layout of peers considering of general and EMC guidelines.
Experience and skills
- Strong working experience in layout design of complex multilayer printed circuit boards, which contains analog, digital, and high voltage power components.
- Understanding of schematic design diagram.
- Experience in generating PCB fabrication, assembly drawings, Gerber files, etc.
- Experience in creating 3D part of electronics component.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design tools like CREO and AUTOCAD
- Experience in managing database/centralised component library.
- Extensive experience and strong hold on schematic & PCB CAD tools like CADSTAR, Mentor graphics (Xpedition)
- Placement and routing per design layout specifications and guidelines.
- Coordinate work with PCB fabricators to resolve DFM or other manufacturing related issues.
- Create, manage, and maintain the E-CAD libraries for schematic symbols, PCB footprints, etc.
- Experience in EMI/EMC compliance design.
Qualification:
B.E. B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech (Electronics/ Electronics)
Experience:
6 to 8 years of experience in Automotive domain
